Jose Salas
Jose's Arborist journey began in 1973. At only 16, he started working as a laborer for Trees Inc. in Houston, where he was later promoted to a supervisor training others on how to climb and trim trees. He then started his own company, Salas Services in 1993 trimming and removing trees. Soon thereafter, lighting contractors hired him to climb trees over 100 feet in height to install special lighting. Salas Services then starting evolving as a Tree & Lighting Services business. Jose's ultimate goal when he started Salas Services was to pave the way to a successful legacy for his 2 sons Joseph and Jonathan. His belief in quality work and customer service has led to countless business referrals through word of mouth, growing Salas Services into what it is today.
Joseph Salas
Raised around the tree business, Joseph was only 11 years old when he grabbed a chainsaw and started helping his father. At age 14, he started climbing and trimming trees, working on weekends and during school breaks. With other dreams of his own, Joseph didn't always know he'd end up following in his father's footsteps and helping run the family business, but even while pursuing other endeavors, contributing to the family business had always been important to Joseph. Once his son Erik, who is now 17, started working for the family business as a third generation Arborist, Joseph became more passionate about devoting the rest of his business journey to building and expanding the family business, Salas Services.
Jonathan Salas
Jonathan is a Second Generation Master Arborist & Climber. Like his older brother Joseph, he started young working with his father. Jonathan was only 7 years old when he began tagging along with his dad to jobs and helping with small tasks. As he got older, he worked off and on for the family business as he pursued other avenues within the industry. In his early 20's he went to work for a waste management company as a truck driver and then later obtained his license to drive trucks with hazardous material and waste. Although thankful for his learned knowledge and new experience, Jonathan missed working with his family and went back to the family tree business to assist his father and brother with the growth and expansion of Salas Services throughout Texas.
Gracie Salas
Gracie has been the backbone of the family business since she and Jose started the company in the 90s. She handles all office duties including answering the incoming phone calls which gives our customers a personal family-feeling from the moment they call in.
Erik Salas
Following in both his father's and grandfather's footsteps, Erik has been around the family business since a young age. Eager to gain hands-on business experience, Erik took a year off of college to take on a leadership role within Salas Services, where he now leads his own tree services crew and serves as liason between customers and the operations team.
